My Return

Dear All

I apologize if I have been remiss in writing this blog.

It comes to a point in life where one feels that it has to be documentation and even shared.

Its been a week since my return from Singapore - My Home.

This one trip back to Singapore has been so different from my past visits. I felt more aware of my family and friends. It wasn't a me time. It was time to be with my parents, my aunts, my grandmother and my dear friends. The time I spent with them seemed so precious.

I can't put out the thought of my mom hugging me tightly when I was leaving for the airport, whispering, "I'm going to be so lonely." It is with tears that I actually blog this.

Perhaps things aren't going so well for this Singaporean in the Rainbow Nation, that my thoughts keep racing home to Singapore. Work, home, life is in somewhat of a doldrums for me now. How I long for the security of my family and friends.

Yes, Terry says Singapore is no longer home but the Rainbow Nation is now my adopted home. But I cannot put the thoughts of Kit Chan's Home - the 1998 National Day Song. I won't say much more but let Kit express how I feel right this moment. Enjoy and always remember, the grass is might always be greener on the other side of the fence, but Home is where the heart will always be.
